Biomarkers are characteristics which can be used to indicate a particular biological state. Biomarkers are now an integral part of the drug development process as early indicators of drug safety and efficacy in preclinical and clinical phases.

Biomarker discovery - including metabonomics and metabolomics and mass spectrometry of the proteome
Method development – feasibility assessment, establishing methods and development. We are experienced with a variety of analytical methodologies (such as immunoassay and protein mass spectrometry), species and matrices. In addition we can arrange for the synthesis of immunogens and generation of antibodies, with in-house characterisation of the generated antibodies
Validation of biomarker methods – validation of both in-house and commercial biomarker methods to GCP/GLP standards
