Amersham* Radiolabelling Services was acquired by Quotient Bioresearch from GE Healthcare in June 2009.

The largest radiolabelling team in the world have transferred with the business. More than 70 chemists bring over 1,600 man-years' experience of radiosynthesis, maintaining the levels of scientific expertise customers have enjoyed for more than 50 years. 

As part of the transition of the Amersham business, Quotient Bioresearch has constructed a world class radiosynthesis facility in Cardiff which is now open and fully operational.

The group offers a custom synthesis service to clients in the pharmaceutical, agrochemical and other industrial sectors and over the years has acquired great experience in the development of synthetic routes to most types of small molecules, the isolation and analysis of chiral compounds and the preparation of radiolabelled macromolecules and peptides/proteins.
