Quotient Bioresearch has more than 20 years experience in specialist microbiology services for drug development. Our purpose built facilities, including a Containment Level 3 Laboratory, and experienced staff provide the very best environment for development of antimicrobials.

We offer more than just laboratory facilities - helping you with problem solving and project design as well as carrying out pre-clinical investigations. We are internationally recognised - an active industry member of the CLSI (Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute ) of the USA and working to the EUCAST (European Committee on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing), BSAC (British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy) and other European guidelines, as well as our own exacting standards.

  • Antimicrobial development support - we can advise on discovery and development and follow through with evaluation of antimicrobial activity for novel compounds. We have a full range of pathogenic bacteria available for testing including unusual and resistant strains - all within our state-of-the-art purpose built facilities
  • Antimicrobial property investigation – we will help you determine mechanisms of antimicrobial action, interactions with other compounds and post-antibiotic effects. We also have extensive experience in the increasingly important field of resistance development
  • Full range of test bacteria - including atypical bacteria such as Chlamydia trachomatis, Chlamydophila pneumoniae and Mycoplasma spp.  Our containment Level 3 facilities allow testing against Mycobacterium tuberculosis and other problematical organisms.
  • Extensive central laboratory facilities - our facilities, technology and research management staff give you access to everything you will need for your studies, from logistical support to molecular biology, chemistry and bioanalytical techniques
